Gaeilgeori – Irish Speakers

According to its Constitution, Irish is the national and first official language of the Republic of Ireland.  The 2002 census revealed that nearly 1.6 million people in the Republic and over 150,000 in the North claim to speak Irish to some degree.  At present, there are no Irish-speaking, Evangelical Christian groups planting new churches among the Gaeilgeorí through their heart language, either in the Republic or Northern Ireland.

John 3:16 in Irish

Mar bhí grá Dé don domyhan chomh mór sin gur thug sé uaidh a aon Mhac, ionas nach gcaillfí an té a chreideas ann ach go mbeadh an bhetha shíoraí aige.
